  • You counted on 3 times.
  • 11 – 8 = 3

  • Start at 11. Subtract 1 to get to 10. Then subtract 7 more. That way, you subtract 8 in all.
  • You end at 3.

  • You end at 7.
  • 15 – 8 = 7
