Choose the right end mark

Key Notes:-

  • Period (.): Used at the end of a telling sentence (statement) or command.
    • Example: “The cat is sleeping.”
  • Question Mark (?): Used at the end of a question.
    • Example: “Where is my book?”
  • Exclamation Mark (!): Used at the end of a sentence that shows strong emotion or excitement.
    • Example: “Watch out!”

  • Telling Sentences (Statements): Sentences that give information or tell something. End with a period.
    • Example: “She is eating breakfast.”
  • Asking Sentences (Questions): Sentences that ask something. End with a question mark.
    • Example: “Are you coming to the party?”
  • Exciting Sentences (Exclamations): Sentences that show excitement, surprise, or strong feelings. End with an exclamation mark.
    • Example: “I won the game!”
