  • A command is a sentence that tells someone to do something.
  • It usually starts with a verb (action word) πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ.
  • A command often ends with a full stop (.) or sometimes an exclamation mark (!) ❗

  • It tells you what to do.
  • The subject β€œyou” is usually understood (not written).
  • Example: β€œClose the door.” πŸšͺ (It means You close the door.)
  • It uses an action word at the beginning.
  • Commands are also called imperative sentences ✍️.
  • They give orders, requests, or instructions πŸ’‘.
  • Examples:
    • Order: β€œStand up!” πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ
    • Request: β€œPlease pass the pencil.” ✏️
    • Instruction: β€œDraw a circle.” βšͺ

Whenever you see a sentence telling you to do something, it’s a command!
