| What is Addition? |
Addition means putting things together to find out how many there are in total.
| Addition Sentences |
An addition sentence uses numbers and the plus (+) and equals (=) signs.
Example: 3 + 2 = 5
| Parts of an Addition Sentence: |
- The numbers you add are called addends.
- The answer is called the sum.
Example:
- 4 + 3 = 7
- (4 and 3 are addends. 7 is the sum.)

Let’s practice addition sentences where the answer (sum) is 10 or less.
